Jump to Content:Office Highlight: Student Accessibility Services Student Accessibility Services (SAS) facilitates the accommodation process to ensure equal access for students with disabilities at Ithaca College. A disability can be permanent or temporary, visible or invisible, something a student has worked with for a long time or something just rising to their awareness. Students who need accommodations while at IC should request them as soon as possible by filling out the SAS intake form and scheduling a meeting with an SAS specialist. Information related to disabilities is kept confidential within the SAS office.
SAS INTAKE FORM Take Your Placement Exams As your New Student Checklist indicates, Ithaca College requires online placement exams to help determine your entry level for Ithaca College courses.
- Every incoming student is required to take IC’s mathematics placement exam.
- If you studied a modern language other than English in high school or speak one at home, you should also take the associated language placement exam.
Even if you are not planning to take a math or language course, your major (or minor you may choose to add in the future) may require it—and your interests may change. Access your math placement exam and language placement exams.
Note: Some majors in the School of Music require additional placement exams; be sure to check your New Student Checklist for specific information. WHAT PLACEMENT EXAMS DO YOU NEED TO TAKE?
