Announcing Our New HR Help Desk Ticketing System!
We are excited to introduce our HR Help Desk ticketing system, a powerful tool designed to enhance the employee experience when seeking assistance from our Human Resources team. Whether you have questions about benefits, payroll, onboarding, or more, our new system streamlines the process, ensuring timely and efficient support.
How It Works:
- Create a Ticket: From the IC Service Portal found on apps.ithaca.edu, visit our HR Help Desk landing page, and click on “Request HR Help.” Choose the relevant category from our comprehensive HR Help Desk catalog.
- Provide Details: After finding the service you are looking for, fill out the form describing your inquiry to help our HR team understand your needs.
- Submit: After submission, your ticket will be assigned to the appropriate HR specialist for further action.
Why Use Our HR Help Desk? - Efficiency: The ticketing system will significantly enhance efficiency by centralizing requests, automating routing, and providing targeted assistance.
- Transparency: You’ll always know who’s handling your request. No more wondering if your email got lost in the shuffle!
- Customization: We’ve tailored the system to collect essential information, making the process smoother for everyone. For instance, a new hire can submit a ticket specifically for new hire benefits enrollments and questions through custom fields.
- Quality Support: Our HR team is committed to providing top-notch service. With the ticketing system, we can ensure that requests are efficiently tracked, assigned to the right specialists, and promptly addressed.
Please also check out our Centralized Knowledge Base. This system also allows us to create and maintain a comprehensive Knowledge Base where employees can access self-help articles and resources directly from the Team Dynamix Knowledge Base by clicking on “Find Knowledge” from the HR Help Desk landing page.
Get Started Today! Visit our HR Help Desk and experience the future of HR support. We’re here to assist you every step of the way!
Annual Performance Review
The annual performance review period is currently underway, and it's important that everyone completes their self-assessment this week if they haven't already done so. Supervisors are actively reviewing the submitted assessments along with direct report and peer feedback to finalize crafting the reviews for their team members.
We’ve recently added two additional workshops for supervisors as detailed below. This training is open to all supervisors. As a reminder, the performance review process closes on May 3, 2024.

PayFlex is now Inspira Financial
Effective January 17, 2024, when you access your online PayFlex account, members will automatically be routed from the PayFlex site to inspirafinancial.com. There’s nothing to do on your end. You will login using your existing login credentials (username and password) as they have not changed. You will get the same service you’ve come to expect, and all existing contact information will remain the same for the time being. You can continue to contact them at the same phone numbers you always have, but their website and email addresses will change to reflect their new name.
Inspira will not re-issue any current debit cards. Your current debit card with the PayFlex logo will continue to work through the expiration date identified on your card. Once your card expires, you will receive a newly branded card with the Inspira logo.

On April 18th, the entire Ithaca College community will once again take part in an incredible 24-hour celebration of IC. Thousands of alumni, faculty, staff, and supporters will come together and give back in support of this special place. Please consider making a gift of any amount to support the IC experience. Staff and faculty can stop by Alumni Hall throughout the day for free food, games, and more!
Thank You!
Thank you to Michelle Goode and the Center for Health Promotions for partnering with the Office of Human Resources to bring Motivational Interviewing training to Ithaca College employees. Sixty-six employees participated and gained valuable skills to support students in problem-solving and finding achievable solutions. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate and enhance the support systems available to our students and employees alike.
Thank you to Jenna Lamb, Lisa Efing-Guida, Sherman Cahal, Steve Lane and the Division of Information Technology and Analytics, for collaborating with the Office of Human Resources on several training workshops focused on AI and our annual review process. Their expertise has been invaluable in enriching the knowledge and skills of our employees and are excited to continue our collaboration with two new workshops tailored specifically for supervisors.
