Staff Annual Increment Compensation Change Statements
As was communicated in May, the Board of Trustees approved a salary increment budget of 3.0%, which includes 2.5% for general increment and up to 0.5% for an increment based on merit for all continuing, non-bargaining unit* employees. General and merit increment increases for staff are effective July 1 and are payable in the payroll encompassing July 1.
Non-unionized staff employees (excluding those on periodic salaries) should receive an email on Thursday, June 27th with a link to login to IC HR Cloud to access their annual compensation change statement, acknowledge receipt of the statement, and to print the statement if so desired. Documentation on accessing statements in IC HR Cloud can be found at the end of the linked Knowledge Base article under “To View Your Compensation Change Statements.”
Staff employees who are on periodic salaries will receive their statements directly via email from the Office of Human Resources no later than July 1, 2024. Faculty will be notified of their increments upon receiving their faculty salary letter for the 2024-25 Academic Year in the coming weeks.
*Compensation for UGSOA employees is determined in accordance with their collective bargaining agreement.
Mid-Year Review of Flexible Work Plans (FWP)
As we approach the mid-year mark, it is time for supervisors to review and assess current approved flexible work plans to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the department and the college. Existing flexible work options include Flex Time, Compressed Work Week, Hybrid, and Fully Remote arrangements. Please review the FWP policy and FWP resources for available options and requirements. All employees working on a flexible work arrangement must have an approved FWP on file.
Educational Benefits
Application deadlines for the Fall 2024 Semester educational benefits are here! Employee/Dependent Tuition Remission applications are due by July 15, 2024. Please note, tuition remission applications must be completed by the student. Cash Award applications are due August 31, 2024. Additional information about our educational benefits can be found on our website.
Personal Time for 2024-25
The personal paid time away absence allowance for fiscal year 2024-2025, will be front-loaded on July 1, 2024. Eligible employees may view their balance by logging into HCM and viewing their “Absence Balance.” Information on the personal time policy can be found here.

Staff Council Corner
Staff Council’s next monthly meeting is July 11, 2024, from 2:00 – 3:30 pm in Job 312 and on Zoom (please email staffcouncil@ithaca.edu if you would like the Zoom link for the meeting). All staff are welcome to attend. Tim Downs, Vice President for Finance and Administration and CFO, will be there to answer questions about college finances and staff salaries. In addition, Shadayvia Wallace, Program Director - MLK Scholars and First-Gen Center/Associate Director - BIPOC Unity Center, will share some announcements from the First-Gen Mentoring program.
