Creating a more inclusive environment – a conversation with Karen Catlin, author of Better Allies: Everyday Actions to Create Inclusive, Engaging Workplaces
Have you ever thought, “I care about helping to create a more inclusive environment, but I’m not always sure what I can do”? If so, you’re not alone. Knowing how to be a better ally for colleagues from underrepresented demographics can be unfamiliar territory for many of us.
Please join President Cornish and other college leaders on Tuesday, April 18 from 11 AM to Noon for a conversation with Karen Catlin, author of Better Allies: Everyday Actions to Create Inclusive, Engaging Workplaces, about how we can all work to help make IC a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our community.
During our conversation with Karen, President Cornish and others will explore situations of non-inclusive behavior that many have experienced but may not have known how to handle. Karen will share her perspectives on how we all can be better allies, and turn good intent into action.
This program is part of a Human Resources initiative for employees and is open to all members of the college community.
