Welcome New Human Resources Staff Members!
We are excited to welcome Rachel O’Campo and Marie LeRoy to Ithaca College!
Rachel, our new Benefits Associate, is no stranger to IC, having served as a Marketing Coordinator with Sodexo from 2013 to 2019. Rachel also provided support to the Office of Human Resources in a temporary role from 2021 to 2022.
As Benefits Associate, Rachel will be administering staff leaves, including short term disability and NYS PFL, as well as assisting with various benefits-related initiatives.
Marie LeRoy, our Equity and Title IX Investigator/Employee Relations Consultant, is an Ithaca College alum, and in this role will work closely with the Director for Staff Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and the Director of Title IX Compliance and ADA/504 Coordinator in conducting investigations for students and employees, assisting with employee relations issues, and providing guidance and developing policies and procedures.

Announcing Updates to the Payroll Department
Effective February 1, 2025, the College’s payroll processing functions have moved from The Office of Human Resources to the Financial Services department within the Office of Business and Finance.
After serving as Interim Payroll Manager since October 2024, Jenn Brown has been named Payroll Director. As of March 3, Jenn has relocated to West Tower, 14th Floor, room 1405. Jenn is generally available for in-person inquiries on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, although it’s preferred that you reach out to make an appointment beforehand to confirm availability. Website content will soon be realigned to reflect these changes.
For the time being, website content and the method of contacting the Payroll Office remains the same. Below is a summary of resources and contact information available to you.

Payroll: Various payroll resources can be found in the Human Resources Knowledge Base. The Payroll Office is the recommended point of contact for questions on paycheck amounts, pay slips, timecards, and GL costing. While we will continue to monitor payroll@ithaca.edu, the preferred method for submitting payroll inquiries is through the Human Resources Help Desk ticketing system.

Human Resources: Human Resources functions such as recruiting, employee onboarding, and benefits remain with the Office of Human Resources. Continue to access these functions here. For questions, contact the HR Helpdesk.

Student Employment: As was communicated in the February HR Newsletter, Student Employment has transitioned from Human Resources to the Center for Career Exploration and Development (CCED). Access resources on student employment here. For questions about the student employment process, please contact Hope Borsic, Student Employment Specialist, at studentemployment@ithaca.edu or by booking a meeting with her here.
New Time Card Layout in IC HR Cloud
A new look for time cards has been adopted in IC HR Cloud for both employees and managers. This update improves the layout of time cards to be more intuitive and easier to use. The new design features a table format that is user-friendly, allowing you to view and manage your entries with greater ease.
We anticipate that employees will find the new layout much easier to navigate, making time entry more efficient. Additionally, managers will benefit from a more streamlined experience when managing and approving time cards for their teams. Please review these resources for navigating the new layout for time cards.
Annual Performance Reviews & Workshops
As we move forward in the performance review cycle, here are the suggested guidelines for dates and opportunities to engage:

Self-evaluations and peer/direct feedback submissions - Currently underway. Don’t miss this chance to reflect on your achievements and provide valuable insights on your colleagues.

Supervisor completion of employee assessments - March 17 – April 13.

Supervisor and direct report meetings to review the evaluations and set goals for the upcoming year - April 14 – May 2.
Please note that these are suggested timeframes. Performance reviews should be meaningful and thoughtful. If additional time is needed for any of these steps beyond the dates outlined, employees and supervisors will still have the ability to complete reviews.
